For Western Web Users
- SSL root certificate
To make it so your browser does not ask if you want to accept the www.westernweb.com certificate each time you access user features from our site you can load the Western Web CA certficate from
http://www.westernweb.com/cacert.crt
OR for IE http://www.westernweb.com/cacert.der
- Changing Passwords
Users change their FTP and email passwords using the URL
https://www.westernweb.com/chpw/
- Creating a keypair with OpenSSH under *nix/Mac OSX
In order to create a ssh keypair for use with logging onto the WesternWeb (Jeffk) machine you need to:
- ssk-keygen -t dsa on your machine
- Send the PUBLIC KEY to root@jeffk.com
- Once installed you can then log into the westernweb machine using
ssh -l your jeffk id here westernweb.com
with your pass phrase instead of your Jeffk password.
Note: If the id is the same on your local machine and jeffk then you do not need to use the -l option.
- Web mail
We are working on making a web mail interface available to users who use POP or IMAP to access their mail from the western web machine.
- Forwarding aliases
We are working on setting up an interface that allows domain owners to make changes to the forwarding aliases for their domains.
